Angola is situated on the Western coast of Southern Africa. It has an area of 1,240,000km2, which is around one seventh of the region of China. The population is nearly 13.96 million. Its capital is Luanda, where the inhabitants are about 4 million.
Angola also possesses deposits of oil and 30 types of minerals, including diamonds, iron, gold, phosphates, copper etc.
After 40 years of war, Angola finally has obtained the enduring peace in 2002, and entered into a new era of reconstruction. The war destroyed most of infrastructure. With the sustained political stability and economic development, Angolan government is actively reconstructing their homeland.
